  Mijn eerste vraag was: Wat is blip C11.

  Het blijkt na even speuren (Zie bluetooth.org) om een Ericsson bluetooth base station te gaan.

  Blip lijkt mij een demo product van Ericsson wat niet wereld wijd verkocht wordt. Onderstaande informatie van Ericsson bevestigd dit:

  The high penetration of mobile data services in Japan makes it a hot market for early adopters of local services using Bluetooth wireless technology

  We already today experience high interest in Japan for Bluetooth applications and networks, and have since some time scaled up our Japanese market presence with commercial trials ongoing.

  Ericsson believes in proximity networks and we have decided to focus our efforts in Bluetooth infrastructure, which includes the BLIP product portfolio, to the Japanese market. As a consequence, activities on other markets will be scaled back and the BLIP products will not be marketed or sold outside Japan.

  The center for Bluetooth networks will be Aalborg in Denmark, and all activities will be concentrated there.

  As a consequence, the product for blip C11 has been removed from Ericsson Mobility World. Support will be available until February 28, 2002.
